Your Mission as Industrial Manager at SpaceTech

As Industrial Manager, you will be responsible for the industrial execution of our instrument and subsystem projects. You will ensure that all procured hardware, materials, equipment and services are available on time, on quality and within budget for development, qualification and flight-model integration and test activities. You will act as the key management interface to the suppliers, in support of the Technical subcontract managers and the Project Manager.

Potential missions where you could act as Industrial Manager would be the ESA NGGM or ESA LISA missions.

Your Tasks as Industrial Manager at SpaceTech

  • Lead the overall procurement process from supplier identification and RFQ preparation through proposal evaluation and supplier selection

  • Coordinate the Technical subcontract managers and support engineering teams during specification and procurement activities

  • Monitor suppliers regarding technical progress, schedule, quality, contractual performance and cost compliance

  • Assess supplier capability, manufacturing capacity and supply-chain risks; implement mitigation measures where required

  • Ensure availability of hardware, materials, MGSE/EGSE/OGSE and documentation required for Assembly, Integration and Test activities

  • Provide consolidated industrial and procurement status overview to the Project Manager

  • Support project reviews

  • Identify industrial partners during proposal and early project phases and contribute to competitive industrial strategies

Skills and Experience needed as Industrial Manager at SpaceTech

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical discipline

  • Several years of professional experience in satellite, instrument, payload or aerospace projects

  • Experience in procurement, supplier management, industrial project management or project engineering

  • Understanding of ECSS/customer requirements and Product Assurance / Quality Assurance principles

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills in multidisciplinary teams

  • Structured, proactive and solution-oriented way of working

  • Fluent English; German is an advantage
