Due to our increased engagement in the area of laser interferometric instruments in collaboration with international partners and institutes, we are hiring new employees to strengthen our Photonics team.
Design and analyze cutting edge optical systems for space
Document design and test activities, establish procurement specification
Act as focal point for incoming inspection of optical parts
Procure designed hardware
Define optical experiments to verify the analysis results
Participate in assembly and testing of optical hardware
Work with engineers across the company to develop and improve opto-mechanical and electro-optical designs
Contribute to proposals
Note: optical simulations will cover approx. 50% of your working time at SpaceTech. Depending on your qualification and preference, this position will be combined with another task, e.g. in the lab or a subcontractor management.
A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or equivalent
Hands-on experience in design and analysis of optical systems
Sound knowledge of optical analysis tools, e.g. ZemaxOpticStudio
Proficiency with optics, optical system, its specification and testing
Experience with developments for space is beneficial
Capable of working independently and in an interdisciplinary team
Ability to take initiative and communicate effectively
