Solar Array Factory / Production Support Engineering
Our Solar Array products are in high demand from customers around the globe, ranging from scientific one-off satellites, to series production for constellations. As Production Support Technologist you will be part of the Production Support Engineering team that creates, maintains and troubleshoots hardware and software needed to reliably and efficiently manufacture Solar Arrays and other spaceflight components.
Your Tasks
- Equipment design and upgrades: Designing, installing and integrating bespoke machines and production systems as well as upgrading existing systems in a first-of-its-kind factory
- Maintenance and repair: Performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electronic, and IT equipment to ensure they are in good working order
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex manufacturing software and/or hardware issues, often identifying root causes to implement lasting solutions
- Collaboration: Working with engineers and operations staff to solve problems and implement new processes
- Adherence to standards: Ensuring work complies with safety, and quality standards of the space industry
Your Skills and Experience
- Enthusiasm for Technology: Passion for all things tech, and an insatiable drive to learn, understand, and create
- Technical skills: Hands-on experience with the following topics is advantageous
- software (e.g. C#/.NET C/C++, Python),
- electronics (e.g. EDA, microcontrollers sensors, actuators),
- automation (e.g. PLCs, motion control),
- communication (e.g. TCP, UDP, MQTT, OPC-UA, CAN) and/or
- mechanics (e.g. CAD, 3D printing, CNC machining)
- Problem-solving: Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain technical issues in both German and English
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
- An engineering degree is advantageous, but not required
