Due to our increased engagement in the area of laser interferometric instruments in collaboration with international partners and institutes, we are hiring new employees to strengthen our payload team.
Serve as the primary responsible and direct point of contact for the subcontractor assigned to an interferometric instrument unit, e.g. frequency reference system
Coordinate, implement, and monitor the subcontractor’s development activities
Conduct technical assessments and, if necessary, perform shadow engineering
Collaborate with engineers across the company as part of the payload team
Negotiate change requests and manage contract change notices
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements regarding quality, cost, and schedule
Report regularly to the project manager
Organize and lead technical meetings and project reviews
Proven experience in development and project management for space projects (minimum 3 years each, minimum 5 years in total)
Strong understanding of laser-optical systems (e.g. cavity) or electrical units (e.g. ICU)
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion
Able to work independently as well as within interdisciplinary teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a definite asset
Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Europe on short notice
