Payload Team
Due to our increased engagement in the area of laser interferometric instruments in collaboration with international partners and institutes, we are hiring new employees to strengthen our team in payload team.
Your tasks
- Serve as the primary responsible for instrument AIT for our next generation laser-interferometric instrument and direct point of contact for external partners
- Prepare, conduct and lead instrument test campaign
- Organize daily, monthly AIT schedule, personnel, and facilities
- Ensure timely delivery of hardware
- Coordinate, establish, and monitor AIT documentation; e.g. procedures, AIT flow, test reports
- Lead technical meetings and reviews (TRR, TRB), participate in NRB, progress meetings
- Review of subcontractor’s AIT documentation
- Collaborate with engineers across the company as part of the payload team
- Participation and organization of instrument at S/C level
Your skills and experience
- Professional experience of at least 5 years in the domain of AIT for space projects preferably Phase C/D
- Good understanding of laser-optical systems (e.g. laser, cavity) or electrical units (e.g. ICU) and instrument operation
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe, execute work in long-term missions as per environmental test campaign
