All our phantastic projects require hardware to be tested for the harsh thermal conditions in space. For this purpose, SpaceTech operates a wide range of thermal test facilities in Immenstaad. If you love to handle space flight hardware, prepare and run complex tests and operate sophisticated test facilities, we have this interesting job opportunity for you as Senior Thermal Test Engineer (m/f/d).
Your tasks
- Analyse and iterate test requirements and negotiate test conditions with internal and external stakeholders
- Support proposal teams in test cost predictions
- Analyse and define test setups
- Participate in internal and customer meetings
- Lead a team of thermal test engineers
- Test scheduling and resource allocation
- Ensure fulfillment of quality standards and test requirements
- Initiate and lead troubleshooting process in case of unplanned deviations, define corrective and preventive actions and report status
Your skills and experience
- Master's degree in engineering, physics or related field
- At least 5 years working experience in thermal engineering required, preferably in space business
- Experience with thermal test planning and execution required
- Experience with thermal analysis is a plus
- Knowledge of ECSS is a plus
- Experience in systems engineering or project management is a plus
- Good report writing skills
- Good English language skills required, German language skills are a plus
